
Child Care Subsidy
The Child Care Subsidy is a service offered by the Australian Government. To apply for the subsidy parents must go through the MyGov website. The vast majority of parents are eligible for this benefit, specific eligibility criteria can be found by clicking on the link below. The government will pay a portion of your day care fees directly to the child care centre, parents will have to cover the “gap.”
The amount covered by the government is determined by each family’s set of circumstances. It can vary based on a number of factors including your income, number of children in care and more. There is a calculator on the MyGov website that will give an indicative amount to expect.
